Johnny Depp could make a cameo in Tim Burton's Wednesday, a twisted series that will be aired on Netflix later this year. The 59-year-old actor could play a key role in the anticipated series starring Jenna Ortega.

Is Johnny Depp Part Of Netflix's Wednesday By Tim Burton?

A blind item from celebrity gossip social media account Deux Moi sparked rumors that Johnny Depp could be part of the cast of the Addams Family spinoff. The site shares unverified blind items it receives on Instagram Story, and in one of its posts, it mentioned how the production concealed the actor playing Wednesday's Uncle Fester in the upcoming Netflix series, ET Canada reported.

"This rarely out of the news or courts a++ lister is keeping things quiet so that Ortega’s moment is not overshadowed by his ex’s ongoing vendetta," the tipster claimed. "But rumours are the first edits show that Tim Burton was right to fight for his casting."

ET Canada pointed out that the tip was "enough clues" that Depp and Burton are reuniting. Amber Heard's ex-husband has starred in several of Burton's movies, including Edward Scissorhands and Sleep Hallow.

The outlet added that the lack of photos of Uncle Fester in Netflix's press materials could be an indication that the rumor had a foundation. Also, IMDb doesn't even list the character in the credits.

Twitter Users Are Excited For Johnny Depp's Possible Appearance on Netflix's Wednesday

Although the rumors about Johnny Depp being one of the cast members of Netflix's Wednesday should be taken with a grain of salt, his fans couldn't contain their excitement. Many of them hoped to see Amber Heard's ex in the spinoff of Tim Burton's The Addams Family.

"So rare that I feel confident in my @deuxmoiworld blind item guesses, but Johnny Depp as Uncle Fester in Wednesday Addams sounds like a treat to me," one tweeted

"If Johnny Depp plays Uncle Fester in Wednesday I’ll be so happy," a second user added.

"So you're telling me that the king himself, Johnny Depp, will play Uncle Fester in Wednesday?!?! One can dream but...Please, for the love of Tim, let this be truth (?#JohnnyDeppKeepsWinning #JohnnyDeppRises," a third user wrote, hoping the rumor was true.

"OMG I have a strong feeling that Uncle Fester will be played by Johnny Depp! & maybe the reason they had to keep it a secret is because his role depended on the outcome of the trial?! Eeeek," another suggested.

"Johnny Depp is apparently Uncle Fester... another Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collab?!? We LOVE to see it," another user wrote.

However, some are not convinced that Depp will appear on Wednesday as Uncle Fletcher. Others are hoping he will have a project with Burton again.

Wednesday will arrive on Netflix in fall 2022.
