Johnny Depp Deposition Recalls How His Finger Was Brutally Severed in Fight With Amber Heard

The divorce between Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp and Aquaman actress Amber Heard is getting uglier and uglier the longer it stays in court.

Earlier this week, word came out that Depp has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife for defamation. Now, as Heard faces the potential of serving three years in prison for falsifying evidence, details about the legal battle continue to leak out online.

Now, the latest report comes from The Daily Mail, revealing the video deposition that Depp reportedly submitted in 2018. The deposition shows the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star explaining how he almost lost his finger in a fight with his ex-wife, and unlike Heard's version of the story, this one is very graphic.

Recounting the fight that he had with Heard, Depp says that the Justice League star threw multiple bottles of vodka at her ex-husband. Depp's finger was hurt by the broken glass, and according to the actor, the appendage was shattered, bleeding out just like Mt. Vesuvius.

"I had to protect her at the time so I said it was caught in the door… That wasn't the case at all. She threw a vodka bottle at me. My hand was resting on the marble of the bar… The first bottle went just past my ear," Depp recalled in the video, "The second one was a larger bottle, and it smashed into the bar… The tip of the finger was severed. All the bone was completely shattered. It looked like Vesuvius. I got infections. I ended up with MRSA twice."

It's a pretty nasty story. While the court has yet to ascertain the legitimacy of the narrative, we can tell that the relationship between Depp and Heard was volatile and violent. We can only hope that both parties find justice at the end of all of the lawsuits that they've filled against each other.
