A few years ago, legendary composer John Williams announced that he was retiring as a film composer with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which was released last year, slated as his last work on the big screen.
Since the Oscar winner is already 91 years old, the news wasn't a surprise for many movie fans and it felt inevitable for them to witness his retirement around that age.
In his decades-long career, Williams made a huge mark on the history of cinema thanks to his iconic scores of beloved films such as Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones movies, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, and many more.
However, it looks like the legendary composer will still continue to make music after all as he has walked back on his retirement announcement.

John Williams Backtracks on His Retirement Talk
In an interview with The Times, Williams clarified his comments regarding his retirement plan from years ago.
"I don't care much for grand pronunciamentos, statements that are firm and finished and surrounded by closed doors. If I made one without putting it in context then I withdraw it," he told the newspaper.
The Oscar winner went on to explain that he is still open to composing more film scores depending on whether the projects will interest him.
"If a film came along that I was greatly interested in, with a schedule that I could cope with, then I wouldn't want to rule anything out," Williams said.
"Everything is possible. All is before us. Only our limitations are holding us back. Or, to put it more simply: I like to keep an open mind."
This is exciting news for many movie fans since it looks like we may still witness a couple of films in the future with Williams' musical score behind them.
It is now likely that the upcoming Star Wars movies that are currently in the works may be able to have Williams involved as the composer again depending on whether he will be interested in rejoining the franchise.
There is no doubt that it is wonderful news for many movie fans and it's interesting to see what his next project on the big screen will be following his backtrack on the retirement announcement.
