John Oliver Hilarously Slams Disney-Owned Streamer for Censoring His Jokes about Disney

The Lion King voice actor John Oliver is the host of HBO's Last Week Tonight, and he's infamous for covering some hot-button topics with humor that barely holds back. Just in, the show has discovered that a Disney-owned streamer in India, Hotstar, has been censoring the show from Disney-related jokes, and Oliver and his team have handled it the only way Last Week Tonight handles things.

The main bit about Disney starts at 2:24, but the whole video pretty much cover's Hotstar's tendency to censor the show:

As it turns out, Hotstar has been clumsily censoring Last Week Tonight when it comes to Disney-aimed humor, and jokes like Mickey Mouse doing cocaine and Donald Duck having a corkscrew penis have been awkwardly edited as a result.

Though Hotstar may be worried about upsetting their Disney overlords, Oliver hilariously makes it a point that he himself is a part of the Disney family; he voiced Zazu in The Lion King remake, and he jokes that everything that comes out of his ‘beak' is Disney canon.

The clip cuts off, but Oliver goes on to joke (via THR), "Everything that comes out of this beak is a 'Disney Fact.' If I say that Cogsworth [from Beauty and the Beast] collects Nazi memorabilia, guess what? That's canon, baby! That's a 'Disney f*cking Fact' right there. And for the foreseeable future, Hotstar, you can look forward to learning a lot more of them on this show because we're going to be sliding them into our stories like Chip and Dale slid into Richard Gere. That's right — 'Disney Fact,' mother*ckers."

Needless to say, it's a hilarious takedown, and I'm curious what Hotstar has to say about it moving forward.
