J.J. Abrams' Spider-Man Comic Book Release Delayed Again

Have you been hoping to get your hands on Spider-Man #4 to keep you company during the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19)? Sadly, it looks like the highly anticipated issue of J.J. Abrams' comic book series won't hit the shelves this April. Marvel Comics has just decided to delay the release of the fourth issue, possibly due to the pandemic.

Comicbook.com reports that Marvel Comics will be postponing the release of Spider-Man #4 yet again. Although the issue was expected to be available by April 8, the publisher has decided to move the release date to April 29.

This isn't the first time that Spider-Man #4 has been delayed. The issue was initially set for release on December 11 but Marvel opted to push it back to February 19. The publisher later postponed the release date to April.

For now, the fourth issue of the series Abrams wrote with son Henry is the only one that has been postponed. Spider-Man #5 is still expected to drop on May 27.

The synopsis for Spider-Man #4 reads as follows:

• Ben Parker, the son of Peter and Mary Jane, has had a lot thrown at him the last few weeks.
• Normal high school stuff: met the love of his life, stood up to a bully, found out his dad was Spider-Man and that he has powers, too, and the super-villain that changed everything is out to get him... Yep, normal high school stuff.
• However, in ways that we can't really explain here, this issue turns all THAT onto its head.

Spider-Man #4 will be released on April 29.
