J.J. Abrams Confirms Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Has Been Completed

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is less than a month away and fans are hoping that it is the best Star Wars movie ever. Okay, that's a bit of an understatement we do want it to be a quality movie that pays tribute to the franchise while also subverting our expectations. Basically, we want a bit of The Force Awakens and some of The Last Jedi, whether fans want to admit that or not.

One thing fans won't have to worry about is whether it will be a rush-job or not since The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams has confirmed that the movie's editing has officially finished. This is very good news overall and should ease any concerns about last-minute reshoots since the director has also confirmed that those have also been finished.

Abrams revealed the good news during an episode of Good Morning America and fans can check out the clip above to see how Abrams gave the news. Knowing that the film is done with all its reshoots and editing is awesome news so we probably won't see any reports about the studio enforcing some kind of last-minute mandate, which Justice League suffered from.

Now that everything is done, let's just hope things go well for this movie and we get a nice little finale to this trilogy. Both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi made a ton of money and got plenty of love critics so here's hoping The Rise of Skywalker does the same.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out on December 20.
