Ever since the exciting behind-the-scenes reel for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released at Star Wars Celebration Europe, speculation has run rampant about what may be hidden in the footage. Some say they saw Ponda Boba and Dr. Evazan, some say they saw Tarkin, and others believe that Bail Organa shows up. At the 1:04 mark i the video, a character is seen on the right who bears a striking resemblance to Princess Leia's adoptive father. Now, we have confirmation that it is indeed Bail in the footage
Jimmy Smits, who previously played Bail Organa in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, showed up on the daytime talk show The Talk. The hosts interviewed him and asked about the aforementione character in behind-the-scenes reel, and asked reel for more info. Smits seemingly confirmed his involvement in the movie:
"Can you say the word cameo? Can you say the words small part?"
Bail will make a brief appearance in the film, yet I wonder what role he'll play in the rebels' mission to steal the Death Star plans.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters on December 16, 2016.
