Jessica Jones Gets New Title on Disney+

Jessica Jones and the other Netflix Marvel shows are now streaming on Disney+ and not surprisingly, the shows have been subjected to some interesting new changes. For instance, Netflix's credit has been removed from the opening and closing sequences. Now, it looks like Disney+ has also changed the title of Jessica Jones and although it's new for some fans, it's actually the show's true original title!

The Direct reports that Disney+ has updated the title card for Jessica Jones and renamed the series to AKA Jessica Jones. Although the updated title is being reflected during the opening sequence, the former Netflix series is still referred to by its original title.

Interestingly, it's a cool change considering that AKA Jessica Jones was the original title for the series when ABC was still developing the project. However, it was shortened to Jessica Jones when it made the big move to Netflix. The "AKA" is still used for the show's episode titles.

But why make the sudden change to the former Netflix series? Most fans believe it might have something to do with Disney's big plans for Jessica Jones. There have been speculations that the character will appear in the She-Hulk series alongside Matt Murdock who had already made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

We're loving the idea that Jessica Jones will be set for an official return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, fans have been hoping that Krysten Ritter will return as the super-powered private detective along with the likes of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk. However, it's important to remember that Ritter's return has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

All episodes of Jessica Jones, or AKA Jessica Jones, are now streaming on Disney+.
