Jessica Jones Creator Responds To Series Cancellation

Jessica Jones might have been cancelled along with The Punisher today, but that doesn't mean that Netflix isn't pushing through with the series' third batch of episodes. Jessica Jones season 3 is still on its way and series creator Melissa Rosenberg promises that she and the team are going to deliver an unforgettable series finale for the fanbase.

Taking to Twitter, Rosenbrag decided to thank Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter and the rest of the series' cast and crew for the work they put into the show. The series showrunner also took time to thank fans for the time they spent staying with Jessica Jones, promising that she and the rest of the team would end the series with a bang. Like the second season, the next season will have third episodes to air, marking the end of Jessica Jones.

To all JJ's fans and followers, thanks for your support! What an extraordinary rid it's been! So much gratitude to K Ritter et al. We'll be going out with a bang for our last 13 eps when they air. Can't wait for you to see them! Xom," Rosenberg wrote in her post.

Unlike most of the Marvel TV series which were cancelled right after the release of their second or third seasons, Jessica Jones has the luxury of time, allowing the cast and crew to deliver a memorable (and proper) series finale. While it might sound disappointing for Jessica Jones to end so soon, it's good that the show can give fans the ending they deserve.

Jessica Jones season 3 has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
