Jeremy Renner is undoubtedly one of the biggest newsmakers this month. After being involved in a horrific snowplow accident that nearly cost the beloved actor his life, fans expressed their concern for the actor, especially following malicious reports that he'll need to undergo another surgery to have one of his legs removed.

Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case and the Marvel Cinematic Universe star is now recuperating in his home although his current health status still remains unknown. If the latest reports are to be believed, the actor could get sidelined from acting for up to two years after breaking more than 30 bones in the accident, apart from the blunt chest trauma he sustained.

As Renner's friends and supporters continue wishing him well and praying for a less-arduous road to recovery, one personality is drawing major flak online after trying to crack a distasteful joke at the expense of the actor's unfortunate accident.

Jay Leno is currently under fire after jokingly associating his recent motorcycle accident with Jeremy's misfortune. If you may recall, in November, Leno made headlines after his involvement in a vehicular mishap that left him with severe second-degree burns. Turns out, Leno isn't the luckiest man in the world and another accident occurred which required him to undergo surgery.

On Twitter, the ex-Tonight Show host wrote: "I was riding my motorcycle up in Lake Tahoe and I came around the corner and bam, I crashed into Jeremy Renner’s snowplow."

Naturally, the former late-night talk show host's quip didn't sit well with Renne's fans who took to the platform to air their dismay. Check out some of the reactions below:
