It goes without saying that Jennifer Lawrence is one of Hollywood's most-accomplished actors which is crazy considering she has yet to reach her prime. When her Hollywood career was launched to the stratosphere following her involvement in the X-Men and Hunger Games franchises, she instantly became one of Tinseltown's busiest stars and there was even a time when she worked on multiple films in a single calendar year.

Over the last couple of years, however, it seemed like Lawrence has become picky with the projects she takes on, and probably for good reason. Now, those who expect her to see in another movie franchise in the near future might get disappointed as the actress doesn't seem keen on accepting roles that would require her to get tied to a lengthy contract.

Appearing at the premiere of her independent drama Causeway at the BFI London Festival (via Deadline), the Don't Look Up star got honest about movie franchises. Speaking to the event's audience before the screening of her film, the 32-year-old actor said that while she thinks movie franchises are generally fun, she believes she's at a stage in her career where they no longer appeal to her. She explains: "I could never do one now 'cause I'm just too old and brittle."

Lawrence's latest remarks seem to indicate that an appearance in franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Extended Universe, or even Star Wars isn't on her list of priorities. Interestingly, the actress has been the subject of MCU casting rumors over the last couple of months but it doesn't look like we'll see her star in another comic book project.

Meanwhile, speaking of the mutants, Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot is currently in development.
