Jennifer Lawrence Fantastic 4 Casting Debunked

In case you missed it, a new report revealed that Jennifer Lawrence has been cast in the Fantastic Four reboot. Moreover, the Hunger Games star is already set to begin filming the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick by next month. But is it true? The casting has just been debunked by an insider.

It was previously reported that Lawrence is expected to fly to Australia in March to begin work on the Fantastic Four reboot. The news immediately raised several eyebrows considering that Disney and Marvel Studios have not shared any updates about the MCU project. In addition to that, many weren't thrilled about the possibility of Lawrence playing Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman.

So is it true that the X-Men actress will star in Fantastic Four? Hollywood insider Justin Kroll revealed that the project doesn't even have a script yet and it's too soon to start filming.

The Fantastic Four reboot had only been announced in December during Disney Investor Day and the only name attached to the project was director Jon Watts. The filmmaker is currently hard at work on Spider-Man 3 so it would be impossible for him to start filming a new movie right away.

So is there any truth to Lawrence heading to Australia for an MCU film? We already know that Thor: Love and Thunder is the only Marvel movie in production in the country right now. Unless Lawrence has been cast in the film, there's a possibility she will be working on a completely different project.
