If you've seen the first trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, there's a good chance you were blown away by all the action. However, most fans also got an awesome surprise when Jennifer Beals showed up in the teaser. Not surprisingly. the L Word star is happy to finally confirm her casting and is delighted to be a part of the Star Wars Universe.
The trailer for The Book of Boba Fett brought back Boba and Fennec Shand as well as some new aliens who are working in the criminal underworld. However, the teaser also gave us a glimpse at a familiar face. Interestingly, the new trailer confirms that Jennifer Beals will portray a Twi'lek in the upcoming Star Wars series and she's thrilled to be part of the show.
In Beals' tweet, she admits that she is "so honored to be a part of the Star Wars family." The Flashdance actress also pointed out that "the little kid in me is jumping up and down."
Not surprisingly, Ming-Na Wen is celebrating with Beals. The Mandalorian star replied to Beals' tweet admitting that she's happy her co-star's involvement has been made official.
For now, it's unclear if Beals' Twi'lek will play a major role in The Book of Boba Fett. However, there is a huge possibility that she could get involved with either Boba or Fennec. Hopefully, we'll be getting more details on her role soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
The Book of Boba Fett takes place after the events in The Mandalorian Season 2 where Boba and Fennec claim Jabba the Hutt's former palace. As the trailer suggests, Boba is intent on ruling over Tatooine and will be calling on the main players in the criminal underworld to help him.
The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison as the former bounty hunter. The series will premiere on Disney+ on December 29, 2021.
