Much to the excitement of everyone, Wednesday has been renewed by Netflix for Season 2 and Jenna Ortega, herself, teases that the upcoming season of her series will bring more horrors into the show as she reprises her role as Wednesday Addams.

Speaking at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega teases what is in store for Wednesday Season 2, "We just started getting a writers' room together, and kind of talking about it, And everyone's [saying], we really want to up kind of the horror aspect a little bit."

Ortega added, "Then, get Wednesday out of the romantic situation, and just let her be her own individual and fight her own crime."

Wednesday has been a top series on Netflix when it released focusing on the titular Addams family character as she steps into her new school, Nevermore Academy, where she investigates a series of gruesome murders, and get to explore her abilities at the same time.

Wednesday ended with a cliffhanger after Wednesday defeated the evil that lurks from within Nevermore Academy and she found out about her roots connected to the origins of the place. Wednesday grew closer to her friends, and is expected to be back in the academy the following term.

A newbie to technology, a friend of hers gifted Wednesday a phone and while the whole term has been suspended until the end of it, Wednesday rides home to her family when she received a text from an unknown number.

From here, Wednesday deduced that she now has a stalker and that is one of the plots that fans are waiting to be explored in Wednesday Season 2. The horrors that Ortega are teasing could also be connected to this.

Wednesday Season 2 has no release date yet as the series is still under its pre-production stage and filming of the show is yet to commence.
