Jenna Ortega's meteoric rise to superstardom has been nothing short of impressive and all thanks to Netflix's Wednesday, the once-unknown actress quickly became one of Hollywood's biggest sensations. Considering Ortega is only in her early 20s, the sky is definitely the limit for her and fans are already excited to see what she does next.

A few months back, a hot rumor circulated on social media that Ortega is being eyed to play a major Marvel hero in Daredevil: Born Again. Well, as much as we hate to burst your bubble, it appears that's not the case.

According to Daniel Richtman, the same insider who reported that White Tiger will have a prominent role in Daredevil: Born Again, he doesn't think Jenna has been cast in the upcoming series. This is despite the ongoing rumors linking the 20-year-old star to an appearance in the MCU.

Richtman believes that the role went to another actress as Ortega might be "too busy" to even accept an offer from Marvel Studios. Responding to a fan who asked about her rumored casting, the tipster wrote: "Don't think so. She's way too busy for that. Role likely went to someone else".

Given Wednesday's phenomenal success, it would only make sense for Netflix to extend the show for a couple more seasons and while we don't know the extent of Jenna's contract with the streaming giant, we'd like to assume that it's a lengthy one. On top of that, she is also busy with her film commitments, including Scream VI.

Of course, that's not to say that Kevin Feige and his crew aren't keeping their eyes on Ortega. If anything, we're sure her MCU future is already secured should she want to join the franchise.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to hit Disney+ in early 2024.
