Jena Malone Won’t Be Appearing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be arriving in a few days and more concrete information (spoilers?) about the film are being revealed as of late. By now, everybody knows that the film will be the launch pad of the Justice League into the DC Extended Universe.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg will be appearing in the movie. The Flash's rumored cameo (Ezra Miller) had also been teased by Director Zack Snyder already. As for the appearance of rumored Justice League member, Barbara Gordon (Jena Malone), it appears that we won't be seeing her at all on the big screen.

A new report from Entertainment Weekly claims that Malone's character had been cut out of the film, but not on the R-rated extended version of the DC movie, which is reportedly three hours long.

There's still no official word on which character Malone will be playing, but it's highly likely to be Batgirl. A French magazine published a page featuring the Batman v Superman cast and the characters they'll be playing recently, and Malone is shown as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon.

We recently found out that there will be a "fleeting nude figure" in the R-rated Dawn of Justice version which has been banned in India. I'm taking a guess here that maybe Malone will be that fleeting figure, since she seemed to be quite comfortable sort of taking her clothes off as the character Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games. Then there's also The Joker's attack on Barbara in The Killing Joke comic.

Does this mean we'll also get to see Jared Leto's The Joker in the R-rated version?

Whoever Malone is playing in Batman v Superman, we'll have to wait until the special edition DVD/Blu-ray is released, unless any spoilers get out.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25.
