Zack Snyder Teases The Flash’s Cameo in Batman v Superman

Warning: Spoilers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ahead!

In the past year, we've had an idea that Ezra Miler's The Flash will be making a cameo in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, there have been no hints as to what scene he'll be appearing in.

Now, days into the release of the latest DC film, Director Zack Snyder has teased where the Scarlet Speedster will show up.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Man of Steel director has revealed that The Flash will appear in Batman's dream sequence:

We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre.

The EW article has specified it in these words:

The film is laced with dream sequences for both Batman and Superman that hint at dangers to come – including the possible appearance of DC's galactic ultra-villain Darkseid. The Flash (played by Miller) appears in one such nightmare of Bruce Wayne's, delivering a cryptic message to the Dark Knight.
Fans will have to debate whether it was really a dream, or maybe the kinetic hero breaking through time-space to deliver a warning. Synder calls this "a giant Easter egg" that he hopes will spawn plenty of online theories.

It would appear this dream where Miller's The Flash will appear in is not so much as one of Batman's "Knightmare," which has been rumored as the scene where he will also see Superman taking over a post-apocalyptic Earth. These speculations were followed by the release of images from the film including one of Batman looking over a city in ruins with a giant Omega Symbol, which is the symbol of Darkseid.

There's a possibility that The Flash warning Batman of Darkseid may not be Brue Wayne's subconscious but of the Scarlet Speedster actually being able to travel through time. It's certainly an interesting thought, since we could be seeing Miller having other abilities than running fast.

In any case, we'll be seeing more of The Flash in Justice League: Part One in 2017.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is slated for release on March 25.
