Jeffrey Dean Morgan on Playing Batman for Flashpoint

DCEU's Flashpoint has finally found directors in the form of Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, but fans have been clamoring for a Thomas Wayne Batman ever since Jeffrey Dean Morgan played him in Batman v Superman. We don't know if Flashpoint will contain the alternate Batman, but Morgan is definitely onboard if WB asked him to reprise his role.

Talking to Total Film, Morgan explains:

"We'll see. I mean, look, DC is DC, and they'll figure out what they're going to do next. But I'm highly aware of the character, I will say that. I'm highly aware of the character, and it would probably be a thrill of a lifetime to put on the Batsuit."

The Flashpoint movie was originally slated to come out this year, but with multiple directors leaving the project, we'll probably get the film sometime in 2020. With the Flash coming out as a fan favorite of Justice League, hopefully directors Goldstein and Daley can come up with a story that's faithful to the comic and the character as well.

For now, Morgan is busy playing Negan in The Walking Dead. We don't know if his character arc in the TV show will follow the comic, but seeing that Morgan is one of the more likeable characters left in the show, AMC may want to hold on to him for a while.

No release date has been announced for Flashpoint, but the movie will likely come out sometime in 2020.
