Flashpoint: Batman's Arc Is A Big Part Of The Movie

Ezra Miller's Flash was one of the breakout stars in Justice League and a lot of fans are now eager to see him in a Flashpoint movie. The comic had a lot of huge elements that fans weren't sure would make it to a film, but DC Entertainment head Geoff Johns assures that Batman's arc will play a part.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Johns confirms:

"There's elements in it that we're going to be playing into that we couldn't do anywhere else. The scale of it, the Batman story of it all."

To those unfamiliar, the Flashpoint Paradox comic had Barry Ellen warping himself to an alternate timeline where Bruce Wayne died in Crime Alley instead of his parents. This lead to his father Thomas Wayne taking on the Batman mantle and his wife Martha (MARTHA!) going insane and becoming the Joker.

This was just one of the insane arcs in the comics, but definitely one of the most memorable. We don't know yet if the movie plans to include elements like Wonder Woman beheading Mera, Aquaman drowning half of the world, or Superman being an alien prisoner of the government. It all gets pretty crazy.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman, has expressed his interest in playing the Flashpoint Batman, and hopefully things turn out fine for the fans. Everyone did think it was inspired that he would be cast in BvS.

Flashpoint doesn't have a release date yet, but it might come out in 2019. In the meantime, catch Flash in Justice League out on Nov. 17.
