Jason Sudeikis Forgot He Hit Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian

Everyone is excited for the return of The Mandalorian next month, and just like the first season, everyone is expecting there to be some star-studded cameos in Season 2. Jason Sudeikis, who had played a scout trooper in the first season, recalls this funny incident where he forgot that he had punched the show's favorite mascot, Baby Yoda.

Talking to Conan O'Brien on Conan, Sudeikis recalls how he had forgotten that he had punched Baby Yoda and was just shocked that he had gone trending on Twitter when the episode came out. The story starts at 3:27:

Apparently, Sudeikis had only spent one afternoon on the show, and when the show had started rolling months after, Sudeikis was just told by his wife that he was trending—all because he had punched the internet's baby. Lucky that Sudeikis was wearing a mask for that scene because I'm sure the memes would have been worse if fans actually got to see his face.

If anything, there's still a lot more space for Sudeikis to appear in another Star Wars property. While I could see him as a rebel informant or smuggler like Han Solo, I think he would be able to pull off some kind of comic relief Imperial. How great would it be if he actually tried to get a serious villain role though?

For now, everyone is waiting on The Mandalorian Season 2 which is set to hit Disney+ this coming Oct. 30.
