Jason Momoa Teases Plans For Aquaman 2

It's still a long wait for Aquaman. However, Jason Momoa has revealed he already has plans for a sequel and it sounds like Warner Bros. is loving his idea.

Momoa recently spoke to Syfy Wire about his upcoming DC Extended Universe film. Interestingly, the Justice League star admitted that he has some ideas which he has already pitched to Aquaman producer Peter Safran and Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich.

"I definitely have an opinion. Even when we were shooting Aquaman, I have the opening of Aquaman 2 ready. I went in and pitched it to Safran, and I pitched it to Toby Emmerich. They loved it. It's awesome...But yeah, I have plans for Aquaman 2."

Momoa isn't the only one who is already looking forward to a DCEU sequel. Director James Wan confessed that he is interested in exploring the other aspects in Aquaman's story.

"There's definitely stories, even within the world we've created, that you can actually see other storylines [spinning off from] as well. There's the Aquaman story, but then there's the stories of the seven different kingdoms as well. I think those would be very fun to explore."

The official synopsis for Aquaman reads as follows:

"The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be... a king."

Although we'll get to see a glimpse of the Seven Kingdoms in Aquaman, the film will undoubtedly focus on Arthur's adventures with Mera. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of the other kingdoms and a little of Momoa's own ideas in Aquaman 2.

Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21.
