Jason Momoa Posts Heartfelt Message For Fans Following Aquaman Global Success

There is little doubt that Jason Momoa is an all-around great guy who remains down-to-earth despite all of the success of his new DC Extended Universe flick. This is why it's no surprise when the real Arthur Curry decided to post a heartfelt message for all the fans who made Aquaman "the number one movie in the world."

Momoa posted the video on his official Instagram account. The former Game of Thrones actor was still in a plane but couldn't resist making a video so he could thank his fans as soon as possible. Take a look at the video below.

"Mahalo everyone for making #Aquaman the number one movie in the world. I love you guys. I'm so proud of this movie and everyone that worked on it CHEEEEEHUUUUUUUU," Momoa wrote. In the video, he even jokes that he is traveling with his friends on "my private plane," something that made his fellow passengers laugh.

Aquaman is certainly proving to be a major box office success. The film has already earned $260 million in North America and over $887 million worldwide. This means that the Momoa flick is officially the biggest DCEU movie in history, making even more than Justice League and Wonder Woman. The James Wan film is currently poised to cross $1 billion globally.

Despite the success, there are a few things that Wan isn't quite happy about. The Aquaman director recently expressed his disappointment about the VFX team being snubbed by the Academy Awards. Nevertheless, there is hope that the movie will earn nominations from other award-giving bodies.

Aquaman is currently in theaters worldwide.
