Jason Momoa 'Obsessed' with Getting the Snyder Cut Released

Ever since the release of Justice League, thousands of fans on the internet have been demanding the release of Zack Snyder's original cut of the movie, seeing that WB basically butchers his initial vision for the film. As it turns out, Aquaman star Jason Momoa also wants it released, and he's ‘obsessed' over it.

This is what he tells MTV News:

For now, the existence of the Snyder Cut has had clashing reports on whether it is actually real or not. Despite the petitions and fan outcry, it looks like WB is sitting tight on their decision to not release anything. For now, it looks like everyone is just looking ahead to the future of the DCEU.

Who knows, maybe we'll eventually see it released, but only a few years down the line. We only got Richard Donner's original cut of Superman II back in 2006—that's a full 26 years since the theatrical release back in 1980.

Though I am eager to see what we missed in the original plans for Justice League, part of me is actually weary of what's in store. I did like Batman v Superman, but the movie is definitely without its flaws. What if fans want it now, but WB is just sure that they actually won't like what Zack Snyder originally had in mind? Until the actual Snyder cut gets released, I think it's both a good and bad film—a Schrodinger's Cat of superhero movies.

For now, the DCEU is planning a comeback with Aquaman which hits theaters Dec. 21.
