The new trailer for The Witcher Season 2 is all about Geralt of Rivia and his continuing fight against monsters. But will the White Wolf's new adventures really be as fun without his favorite bard on his side? Luckily, Jaskier is back in the new teaser and fans are loving Joey Batey's return!
There is little doubt that the latest trailer for The Witcher Season 2 teases more fights for Geralt of Rivia. After all, we see him go up against monsters, soldiers, even his fellow Witchers in the teaser. However, the trailer also concluded with a highly anticipated reunion between the Witcher and his bard.
In the last few minutes of the trailer, we see Jaskier's iconic lute and the bard is shown sitting alone in a prison cell. However, it doesn't take long before Geralt arrives and tells him that they need his help. Jaskier grudgingly agrees but turns back to say goodbye to his friends, which happen to be two tiny mice.
Geralt gives him a look but Jaskier dismisses it. "I made new friends, get over it," the bard says as he makes his way out of prison. He then calls Geralt "jealous."
Fans are loving Jaskier's return in The Witcher Season 2 trailer and are hyped up for more interactions between the bard and the White Wolf.
We're loving how Jaskier and Geralt will be reunited in The Witcher Season 2 but some are also wondering if the White Wolf would easily admit his mistake and seek out the bard. Is it possible that this is just a dream sequence where Jaskier imagines being reunited with the Witcher? We'll find out for sure later this December.
The Witcher Season 2 stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey. The series is set to return on Netflix on December 17, 2021.
