Jared Leto's Morbius To Feature Martine Bancroft And Another Tragic Marvel Character

People have been wondering which Marvel characters will appear in the upcoming Jared Leto Morbius film focusing on the Spider-Man villain. Not surprisingly, it has been confirmed that Michael Morbius' fiancee Martine Bancroft will play a large role in the Sony movie.

There have been speculations that Martine will be the female lead in the Morbius film. After all, the movie is expected to explore Michael's origin story of how he became The Living Vampire. Although there have been rumors about Martine being a part of the Sony flick, That Hashtag Show has just confirmed that the character will be the female lead.

In the comic books, Martine plays a large role at keeping Michael strong despite his blood condition. She starts out as a supportive partner but is accidentally turned into a vampire by Michael himself.

It is still unclear if the film will follow Martine's storyline in the comics but her appearance in the movie might also confirm that a minor Marvel character will show up.

There have been reports of a Morbius casting call looking for young males of Middle Eastern descent. It is possible that the film is on the search for Emil Nikos, Michael's friend who becomes his first victim.

It is important to point out that Sony has not yet been confirmed if Emil Nikos will be a part of the movie.

Sony has not yet announced the premiere date of Morbius. Venom, the first major Spider-verse film featuring a Spider-Man villain, will hit theaters on October 5.
