Japanese Star Wars Comic Will Give Us Princess Leia's First Boyfriend

Both Solo: A Star Wars Story and Marvel's Star Wars comics revealed some interesting facts about Han Solo's love life, like the fact that he was married before he met Leia. While we've delved into Han's past a number of times, it's now Leia's turn as the character will soon get a manga that will tell us about her early days, along with her first boyfriend.

This means Luke isn't the first person she kissed. Thank goodness.

According to a blog post from Line Manga (translated by Anime News Network), the comic is called Star Wars: Leia Ōjo no Shiren, or Leia: Princess Test and will be coming out on May 4th (because Star Wars) and will be made by mangaka Haruichi. The story will center on a 16-year-old Leia training to become the ruler of Alderaan before she meets a young boy and falls in love.

Sadly, Line Manga is only available in Japan so fans will probably have to wait for a fan translation of this, assuming that they are interested in Leia's pre-Star Wars life. To be fair, if characters like Han can get some solo spotlight (haha), it's not too far-fetched to imagine a similar tale for Leia. At the least, it gives fans some new Star Wars lore to gush over.
