Jamie Foxx reportedly suffered a health scare after being rushed to the hospital for an undisclosed medical emergency. The actor's daughter, Corinne Foxx, released a statement about her father's condition and confirmed he's now recovering in a post on Instagram Wednesday, April 12.
Corinne revealed Jamie had suffered a "medical complication." Though the family didn't give many details about it, a source told TMZ that it was something serious.
A Statement About Jamie Foxx's Condition
In the statement, the Foxx family revealed that the 55-year-old's medical complication required him to be hospitalized.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," the announcement read. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."

"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time," it continued.
Jamie's rep has yet to give a comment about the issue.
Jamie Foxx's Condition is Allegedly Serious
Though the Foxx family didn't give any details about Jamie's condition, sources with "direct knowledge" of the situation told TMZ that the singer-comedian was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning.
Allegedly, his condition was "serious enough" that some family members who weren't in town had to travel to see him.

Fortunately, he's now reportedly doing okay.
"He's communicating now, and that's good news," one of the insiders assured the outlet.
Jamie Foxx's New Movie
Though Jamie is now in recovery, his family hasn't revealed when he will be out of the hospital to get back to filming.
The Django Unchained star is busy filming his new movie Back in Action, which will also see the return of Cameron Diaz to acting.
According to Daily Mail, he helped lure Diaz back to the spotlight for the movie.
"When this project came along, and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, whom she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it," a source told People.
However, some reports claim she plans to retire for good after experiencing a series of unfortunate events on the set.
Jamie reportedly suffered a meltdown and sacked four people, an executive producer, two directors, and his driver, after throwing a tantrum, per The Sun.
He, too, became a target of a $40,000 scam, which resulted in stopping the movie's production to start an investigation.
