Jamie Chung Will Play Blink in The New X-Men TV Series

The upcoming X-Men TV series from Fox and MarvelTV will feature the teleporting mutant, Blink.

Now, Variety reports that Jamie Chung, who's known for playing Valerie Vale in Gotham, has been cast to play Blink in the new X-Men series.

Blink's character in the X-Men TV series is described as (real name: Clarice Fong): a bit of a tomboy who's sarcastic and lively. Here's the rest of the description:

"Her naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly 'home,' she is slowly becoming herself again."

Fan Bingbing played Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past. We might not see Chunk star in a live-action Mulan anytime soon, but I'm glad that she's taking a badass role that we can't wait to see.

Blair Redford (Switched at Birth) will also join the cast as the mutant Sam, the strong-headed leader of the underground network, but no further details about the character have been released.

The untitled X-Men TV series focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
