It has been three months since Stranger Things Season 4 premiered on Netflix, but the series still continues to get some buzz. There's no denying that Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the menacing villain Vecna is the show's highlight, and even won against the Hawkins gang in taking over their beloved city.
Although Bower plays a villain that tormented the beloved characters in the Netflix hit show, he is entirely opposite in the real world with a tremendous enthusiasm over Stranger Things, constantly sharing his personal ideas on how the show could possibly develop in the impending Stranger Things Season 5.
Now, in a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bower was asked by host Josh Horowitz about whom he hoped to act alongside in the Stranger Things finale. Bower wants to have villain scenes with Will (Noah Schnapp), noting that Vecna and Will have an 'unfinished business' that goes back to Will's abduction in Season 1. See Bower's full quote below:
"I would love- I've mentioned this before- I would really love to see a journey between Vecna and Will. I do think there is unfinished business there between the two of them. I am a huge fan of this show, and I know from sort of skulking around on the internet there are people suggesting that we may have seen Vecna in season 1. And I would love to kind of explore that relationship with Will purely- I think also because visually when I watch the show, when Will is in bed and Winona (Ryder) is having to up the temperature, like that's a lot- That's a lot! And it's pretty scary, and I love scary. So I would like to see more of scary."
After Season 4's revelation that Vecna is the root of the Upside Down, it implies that he was also responsible for the abduction of Will, which started the entanglement of the Hawkins Gang to the eerie dimension. Given that information, Will would undoubtedly play a vital role in defeating the villain, with the Duffer Brothers seemingly supporting this claim by teasing that Will would be a major focus in Stranger Things Season 5.
