James Gunn Says Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be Big for Mantis and Star-Lord

It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is going to contain major arcs for Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and for Mantis (Pom Klementieff).

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn just recently held a question and answer segment with fans on Instagram, and during the little q-and-a (via CBR), the filmmaker was asked by a fan which Guardians character arc was his favorite to flesh out. The fan noted that his/ her favorite character arcs where those of Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), characters which Gunn admitted to enjoy writing for.

However, in his response, Gunn also promises further character development for the others in the team, especially for Quill and for Mantis.

"Those are two of them for sure," Gunn told the fan on his Instagram story, "I probably liked writing Nebula and Rocket's arcs most (still continuing into Vol 3). But I also think we have great things coming up for the others, like Quill and Mantis. All of their arcs take place over the three films as opposed to in only the individual movies."

That's pretty interesting to note. Gunn might not be working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 just yet, but we're definitely excited to see what the filmmaker has in store for the movie. We want to see how Gunn might navigate the relationship of the Guardians now that the team has to deal with the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana). The daughter of Thanos (Josh Brolin) had been sacrificed in Avengers: Infinity War, and it was impossible to bring her back to the land of the living.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has yet to receive an official release date. We'll update fans once we get word.
