James Gunn Confirms That He’s Already Selected Music For GOTG 3

Music has always played a major role in the Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise. Not only do the 70's and 80's soundtrack emphasize the Guardian's quirky, comedic tone, the music also plays a significant role in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2's narrative.

Now that he's out to begin pre-production for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, director James Gunn confirms that he's already chosen the songs for his upcoming Marvel movie.

Active on social media, Gunn was asked by a fan whether he had already chosen the songs for the soundtrack of the third and final Guardians of the Galaxy movie. While the director was eager to reveal that the music had been chosen for "the most part," Gunn doesn't seem to be able to share any of the songs that he plans to include in GOTG 3.

It isn't a surprise to see Gunn keeping a tight lid on the soundtrack of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Music has always been a big part of Gunn's Marvel film franchise – the songs might give away major spoilers to the movie.

Right now there's very little information about what Gunn has planned for the next Guardians movie which is a shame knowing that fans have a lot of questions about the Guardian's future now that Marvel's done with Avengers: Endgame. We'll probably get more details about the movie once Gunn completes his work on The Suicide Squad and he can finally begin production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

GOTG 3 has yet to receive a release date but we'll update fans as soon as we get word.
