Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a surprise hit for Sony, and later this year will see the release of the sequel. Just in, we have our first trailer for the film, and we're introduced to two new players in the game.
In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world's most dangerous game.
Besides the new locations, I think it's cool that they decided to mix up the story with the players switching their avatars this time around. While Karen Gillian is still being played by Martha, there's been a switch up with the three other characters. Fridge, who was played by Kevin Hart in the last movie, is now played by Jack Black, and Dwayne Johnson is being controlled by a new character played by Danny DeVito and Kevin Hart by Danny Glover.
While I'm honestly not that big of a fan of the Rock's acting, I think Kevin Hart has always shined when it comes to his characterizations. He was kind of funny as Fridge in the first movie and based on this new trailer, he does a great Danny Glover impression. Let's just hope that doesn't stop being fun halfway through the film.
Catch Jumanji: The Next Level in theaters Dec. 13.
