IT: Chapter Two Featurette Delves Into the End of the Franchise

After the successful reboot of the IT franchise back in 2017, WB is ready to close the story of Pennywise once again with this year's IT: Chapter Two. The film is set to come out tomorrow, and we have one more featurette delving into the end of the story.

When it came to the 1990s series, a lot of people admit that the adult half of the story was the less memorable one, but with director Andy Muschietti taking a lot of liberties with the first film, it's likely he'll try to bring in some new elements to make the second half resonate more with audiences.

If anything, the movie still looks great, and though we haven't seen much of Pennywise, I imagine it's because they want to keep all of his scares in the film a surprise. Even people who've read the book admitted they didn't see a lot of things from the first movie coming.

If the film turns out a success, I still have a feeling that WB will want to make it a whole trilogy of movies. With the first movie having some deleted scenes of Pennywise during medieval times, I could very well see a Pennywise prequel happening, following him when he lands on Earth and terrorizes a different age of humans over the course of a hundred years.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, "It Chapter Two" brings the characters—who've long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

IT: Chapter Two hits theaters Sept. 6.
