Ishura introduced an extensive cast of overpowered shuras, each with their own story to tell. However, with only 12 episodes in the first season, many fans are wondering if Ishura season 2 could show everyone's fate after the war.

Ishura Season 2 Officially Announced
Shortly after the first season's finale, Ishura Season 2 was confirmed via the show's official X account. A promotional video (above) was also revealed.
Ishura season 1 was expected to only cover the first light novel volume, which featured shuras such as Soujirou the Willow Sword, Higuare the Pelagic, Dakai the Magpie, and Kia the World Word, to mention a few, and their encounters amidst the war that the self-proclaimed demon king Taren started.
With nine volumes of the light novel already produced, there was hope that more of the series would be adapted if sales and viewership in Japan were acceptable.
Based on the anime's MAL and IMDB scores, the chances of a second season initially seemed small. However, it's clear that belief in the series is high given the immediate sequel announcement.
When Might Ishura Season 2 Premiere? Early Predictions
Given that the second season has only just been announced, there's no way of accurately determining when more episodes of the fantasy anime will arrive.
However, we can make some educated predictions based on relatively similar series such as The Eminence in Shadow and Spy Classroom, both of whom also announced sequels shortly after their first season's finale.
For The Eminence in Shadow, there were around eight months between the first season's finale (February 2023) and the second season's premiere (October 2023).
For Spy Classroom, the gap between seasons was a mere four months, from March 2023 to July 2023.
While Spy Classroom felt like an exceptional case, there's every chance that we could see Ishura's second season premiere in the Fall 2024 season, starting in October. However, it could also be in early 2025.

What Would Ishura Season 2 Be About?
Since the first season covers light novel volume 1, The New Demon King War, we are anticipating that Ishura season 2 will cover volume 2, The Particle Storm in the Realm of Slaughter, depending on the anime’s pacing.
Based on the synopsis of light novel volume 2 posted on the official website of Yen Press, there are more shuras that would be introduced, from a golem to a giant.
After all, the seat of the true hero remains empty, and the world is still at war.
