What Exactly Is the Unihorn in Chained Soldier? Real Name Revealed
While normal Shuuki looks like any ordinary monster with big muscles and comes in different sizes and shapes, the Unihorn has a suit of armor over its body, a massive underbite, and a single long horn.
It can easily be spotted by anyone, as it stands out from the plain Shuukis, who only move according to their thirst for blood and destruction.
Kyouka Uzen, the commander of the 7th squad of the Demon Defense Force, gave the Shuuki its moniker, Unihorn, after it appeared in the real world and destroyed her hometown.
Unbeknownst to Kyouka, the Unihorn’s real name is Kidoumaru. The Unihorn is characterized by its desire for battle.
He loves to follow the strong, which explains his relationship with Aoba. He does whatever Aoba wants him to do because the latter is simply strong.
What Is Kyouka Uzen's Connection to the Unihorn in Chained Soldier?
May 11th is a very emotional day for Kyouka Uzen. On that day, there was an incident at Mount Gassan in Oisawa where dozens of Shuuki, including the Unihorn, wandered into the real world.
Kyouka remembers it as clear as day, especially the Unihorn, who was more powerful than any other Shuuki in sight.
While all of the Shuuki that crossed that day were wiped out by the Demon Defense Force, the Unihorn alone managed to escape through the gateway into Mato.
As a result, Kyouka decided to become part of the Demon Defense Force to settle the score against the Unihorn. She swore to avenge everyone in her hometown and make mincemeat out of the Unihorn.
She also wanted Yuuki to prepare when they faced the Unihorn together. But in Chained Soldier Episode 3, Kyouka immediately encounters the Unihorn at a crater where dozens of Shuuki are gathered.
The Unihorn is now with Aoba, who thinks that Yuuki is her little brother. By the end of the episode, Kyouka had to let go of the Unihorn to prioritize the safety of her team.
