The first season of the series is about 19-year-old Ava who wakes up in a morgue, gaining a new lease on life. She finds out that she is now a member of an ancient order called The Order of the Cruciform Sword, which is a top-secret Catholic military collective that is aimed to help The Warrior Nuns battle demons.

Members of The Order do not have supernatural powers, but they are highly skilled in combat.

The Warrior Nun is the holder of the Angel Adriel's Halo and the leader of The Order. She is a devout woman, committed to the cause, using the powers granted to her to lead the order to victory. Ava is the current Warrior Nun.

No, the Warrior Nun is not canceled! Fan's prayers have been answered- Netflix announced the second season of Warrior Nun on August 19, 2021. The second season of the series is expected to premiere to on November 10, 2022.

We expect Warrior Nun season 2 to pick up where the first season ended, when Ava finds out that Adriel is not really an Angel. He established The Order to protect himself and his chosen artefacts from the heavens, hiding the halo in the Warrior Nun.

Ava still struggled to accept her new identity as the Warrior Nun in the first season, but we saw her grow, stepping up to take up her responsibilities. We may see her embracing her powers to defeat Adriel in season 2.

Here is the synopsis of the second season:

Ava and the Sister-Warriors of the OCS must find a way to defeat the angel, Adriel, as he attempts to build his following into the dominant religion on the planet.
