The plot of the anime revolves around Princess Anis, who relies on science and her natural talent to create magical items such as her flying broom.
Because Princess Anis is unable to use magic, she decides to abdicate the throne in favor of her brother, Prince Algard, believing that she is unfit to rule the kingdom.
Princess Anis, unlike Prince Algard, is unrefined, which is why the king's overseers see her as a nuisance to the Kingdom of Palettia.
