Susamaru is also known as the Temari Demon thanks to her blood demon art, which allows her to conjure Temari balls (hand balls) to attack her opponents at intense speeds and immense strength.

Prior to becoming a demon, Susamaru was an ordinary young girl who took an interest in playing temari balls. It is unclear how she became a demon, but it was implied that Muzan changed her at some point.

Since then, Susamaru has served Muzan with the utmost loyalty to earn his favor. After all, demons who serve Muzan want to receive his blood to enhance their strength and demon arts on another level.

During the Asakusa Arc, Susamaru, along with the demon Yahaba, fought Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Yushiro on behalf of Muzan.

They were asked to finish off Tanjiro since he wore the same hanafuda earrings that Muzan hates the most.

Like any other demon, Susamaru has huge confidence in her strength and abilities.

She is characterized by her playful and carefree behavior, unlike her partner-in-crime, Yahaba, who always maintains a calm and serious demeanor.

No, Susamaru is not part of the 12 Demon Kizuki in Demon Slayer, even though she claims that she was one of them.

The truth is, Muzan Kibutsuji successfully convinced Susamaru that she was part of the 12 Demon Kizuki.

He tricked Susamaru into thinking that she was powerful and worthy enough to be called a Kizuki when, in fact, she lacked the strength to become one.

All this time, Susamaru thought that she was a Kizuki, but Tamayo exposed her in the end.

According to Tamayo, Susamaru is not a legitimate Kizuki, noting that her eye is not labeled with a number that indicates a demon’s rank in the demon organization.

Still, Susamaru aspires to become a Kizuki, with the purpose of serving Muzan and accomplishing his objectives.

Even if Susamaru is not a legitimate Kizuki, she is powerful enough to overwhelm Tanjiro, Nezuko, and even Yushiro.

Her temari balls are deadly and sharp enough to sever body parts, ultimately killing her opponents.

It’s a good thing that both Yushiro and Nezuko are demons, so they were able to regenerate what they lost against Susamaru’s Temari balls.

When combined with Yahaba’s Koketsu Arrows, Susamaru’s temari balls become even more powerful.

Similar to other demons, Susamaru has enhanced strength and powerful regenerative abilities. She can also manipulate her flesh, as she was able to grow four more arms to conjure more temari balls against her opponents.

If only Susamaru was able to receive some of Muzan’s blood, she would have been even more powerful!
