Is Star Wars Episode IX Close to Wrapping?

A lot of Star Wars material is set to come out this year, but probably the biggest thing everyone is waiting for is the finale to the sequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode IX. The movie is currently in production, but it's possible that it could be nearing the end.

This was posted up on Reddit, which was a shot of a care package given to the crew of the film:

Looks like filming might be coming to an end?

Unless it was that person's birthday, I'm guessing that the production is already preparing to close, what with the gifts and knick knacks being handed out to the crew members.

For now, we have no idea when we're going to get our first look at the movie. Rumors have been going around that we could finally get the title reveal sometime this month, with the full trailer set to release in Star Wars Celebration 2019. Some are also guessing we might get a shorter preview with the upcoming Superbowl in February.

I have to say, though it's been four years since the release of The Force Awakens, it feels like the sequel trilogy has wrapped up rather quickly. When it came to the OT and the prequels, each movie had three years between each release. Now we're lucky to have one Star Wars film a year. What a time it is to be a Star Wars fan.

We don't know when we're going to get a preview yet, but we do know that Star Wars Episode IX is slated for a release on Dec. 20 this year.
