Who Is Ren Nikaido in Vampire Dormitory?
Similar to the other anime characters in the cross-dressing anime, Ren Nikaido has the looks, height, and personality to die for.
He is eye candy to anime fans thanks to his handsome features, which rival those of Ruka and Mito.
Ren Nikaido attends the same all-boys school as Ruka and Mito. For some reason, he has always been a challenge for Ruka to overcome simply because he is aware of his vampire nature.
It didn't take long for him to become involved with Mito, even warning her that if she continued to live with Ruka, she would become a vampire.
Unlike the other characters, such as Juri and Takara, Ren often acts cold and aloof.
He acts like the most handsome guy who doesn’t have any regard for the people around him, which is typical for bishounens in a school romance anime.
But when it comes to Mito, Ren couldn’t resist showing his good side. He wants to protect Mito, but at the same time, he also wants to be there for her no matter what happens.

Is Ren Nikaido a Vampire in Vampire Dormitory? Backstory Explored
Ren's difficult backstory was revealed in earlier episodes of the anime. He was abandoned by his mother, who fled with a vampire despite knowing she'd become one if she continued their unlawful relationship.
This experience intensifies Ren's determination to prevent Mito from suffering the same fate.
He does not want Mito to become a vampire like his mother, who deserted him and he does not want any more people to be harmed by the vampires under his watch.
However, at the end of the fourth episode, Ren was convinced that something horrible would happen and his "other self" would appear.
This ending left many viewers wondering what would happen to him in the following episode.
To make things clear, Ren is half human and half vampire in Vampire Dormitory.
In other words, Ren Nikaido is a dhampir (often spelled dhampyr), a hybrid creature created by the mating of a vampire and a human.
