What Is Mito’s Secret in Vampire Dormitory?
Yamamoto Mito has fooled everyone, including Ruka Saotome, into thinking she is a male in Vampire Dormitory.
She has been posing as a pretty boy since middle school, enabling herself to become accustomed to wearing male clothing and receiving female attention.
Mito's attractive appearance drew the attention of many girls as she grew older, making it difficult for her to get steady work.
She was just dismissed from her employment at a ramen shop because the male customers couldn't find space in a sea of female customers attempting to hit on Mito.
With nowhere else to go, Mito stumbles into Komori's café and meets Ruka, who is a vampire vying for the throne. He becomes entangled with Mito after saving her life.
Eventually, Mito decides to become Ruka's vampire thrall. In other words, Mito submits to Ruka drinking her blood at any time of day in exchange for a more comfortable life that includes a roof over her head and food on her table.
However, Ruka is unaware that Mito is a girl, which complicates the relationship because the vampires detest consuming girls' blood, even if it tastes sweet like strawberries.
When Will Ruka Find out Mito’s Secret in Vampire Dormitory?
By the end of Vampire Dormitory manga volume 6, Ruka finally learned about Mito’s secret.
A long and tough situation involving Nikaido Ren pushed Ruka to discover Mito's secret, but it was all worthwhile in the end.
Contrary to Mito's expectations, Ruka accepted her true self, regardless of gender, because his love does not discriminate.
Furthermore, Ruka has chosen to embrace his fate, knowing that Mito is his destined partner, and her secret will not be a deal-breaker.
The Vampire Dormitory manga is still ongoing, but the recent events are building Ruka and Mito’s relationship, so it won't be a surprise if the two of them stay together by the end of the series.
