Nezuko Kamado is the younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado. When her family was massacred, only she and her brother survived, but what made Nezuko different from Tanjiro is that she became a demon.
Despite Nezuko's cute features, she has sharp and claw-like nails. She also has a bamboo gag to prevent her from attacking humans. Throughout the series, fans have seen Nezuko transform into a powerful demon. She has physical abilities that are stronger than most demons and other supernatural abilities that give her the advantage against her opponents.
But is she the strongest demon? Continue reading to find out.
Is Nezuko the Strongest Demon in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Explained
As mentioned earlier, Nezuko has physical and supernatural abilities. Her physical ability is to enhance her strength. This gives her the power to fight against demons and usually uses her legs to kick her enemies. A simple kick can sever the head of the demon. Her physical strength is high that can be likened to an Upper-Rank Demon.
Her supernatural abilities, on the other hand, are size manipulation, power restoration, immense regeneration, demonic transformation (in which a horn appears in her forehead and there are vine markings in different parts of her body), and sunlight resistance. She also has a blood demon art, which is the pyrokinesis. This art allows her to manipulate demonic flames from her blood. Take note that this art can only harm demons and not humans.
Despite her great abilities, Nezuko is not the strongest demon. It is still of course Muzan, the Demon King. What makes Nezuko a great demon is that she has sunlight resistance that even Muzan does not have. She is also the only demon that still has her human consciousness, even if she is in a demonic state.
She also does not eat humans but sleeps to revitalize her energy. Indeed, Nezuko is very different from her kind, which is why a lot of the Demon Slayers believe that there is a chance for them to win against demons.
Will Nezuko be cured and turned back to human? Find out the answer in this article.
