Instead of receiving gifts, NCT Lucas surprised his fans instead on his birthday by posting his first-ever social media post in over a year.
NCT member Lucas took a break for over a year after he was accused of cheating, money-leeching, and gaslighting by two of his alleged ex-girlfriends. His agency, SM Entertainment, announced his break from the industry after the idol issued an apology statement.
After waiting for a long time, Lucas’ fans got emotional as he officially returned to his social media accounts on his 24th birthday.

NCT Lucas Shares New Post After Over a Year of Hiatus
On his Instagram account, Lucas posted a screenshot of his phone showing Alan Silvestri’s Forrest Gump Suite playing in the background. He also added a folded hands emoji to its caption.
Fans immediately greeted him with a happy birthday, showing their unwavering support for the idol as they waited for him to come back.
Among the greetings read:
“Happy Birthday to you Lucas. Please come back soon and please know there is always someone waiting for you on the other side.”
“Happy birthday to our Giant baby Lucas, we are wishing happiness and success to him. We hope he will come back soon, and always be happy. You deserve the world lucas. WE LOVE YOU LUCAS.”

In addition, his recent post sparked rumors he would finally promote with NCT again. Recently, Lucas also appeared in the boy group’s reality show, NCT Universe. Although the program did not exactly confirm his return, adding him proved that he remains a member of NCT and its sub-unit, WAYV.
Why Lucas Went on Hiatus
The allegations started when the first accuser alleged that the Make a Wish hitmaker approached, manipulated, and leeched money off of her.
They reportedly started dating in July 2019 after the idol told her she was his girlfriend and not only a fan. The complainant also asked her to stay a little longer on his bed, reportedly demanding that she have sexual intercourse with him.
The accuser added that they got back together in November 2019 before breaking up in March 2020.
More accusations emerged, and Lucas has since released an apology letter. The scandal also led him to halt his promotions with WAYV in China and suspend the release of Jalapeno.
