New dating rumors arose as Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang’s onscreen chemistry scores viewers’ attention. In the Disney+ drama, they play the roles of Shim Woo Joo and Han Dong Jin, respectively.
The Kdrama series revolves around the story of two people who meet in the most heartbreaking way but find a way to fall in love.
Some fans have been speculating that they might be dating in real life. The rumors even intensified after the Kdrama series’ director, Lee Kwang Young, revealed to have suspected their real score, as well.

Are Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Kwang Dating?
Lee Sung Kyung herself addressed the rumors during her interview with SPOTV News. She initially spoke about her chemistry with Kim Young Kwang, revealing that they have been close since they were younger.
Because of their close relationship, they reportedly have to work harder to portray their characters whose relationship is far from what they have.

She then addressed the dating rumors, noting that the director also said their gazes were “suspicious.”
“But [the suspicions] are possible because the director was only looking at Han Dong Jin and Shim Woo Joo, rather than our original selves. She made the project well for others to be able to feel like that and the actors were able to feel strength from those reactions to film even better,” she went on.
Kim Young Kwang shared a similar comment during his interview with STARNEWS on Monday. Per the actor, they had been looking forward to working together after the plans to film a movie together in the past fell through.
He then referred to Lee Sung Kyung as his friend, who he has known since their modeling days.

Before their separate interviews, Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang appeared together in a pictorial and interview with Elle Korea magazine.
During the interview, they were asked about working together in the drama. Kim Young Kwang immediately praised his co-star, calling her the epitome of her character. He also expressed his admiration for his capacity to make decisions and focus on a hectic filming set.
Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung said Kim Young Kwang’s acting skills made her feel like she was meeting the actual character from the drama.
