Imagine being able to drive up to a fast food joint and getting the classic spiel: "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. Can I take your order?" With the release of Good Burger 2, this brings up an important question: is Good Burger a real place?

If you've already watched the movie, you might be curious to know what the signature Good Burger would taste like, especially with its secret orange sauce. Or you might just want to revisit a place and imagine Kel Mitchell's Ed character taking your order.

So with this, let's talk about whether there is a real Good Burger joint.

The first Good Burger movie came out in 1997. But the skit actually came out on Nickelodeon's comedy sketch show, All That, in 1994.

When the skit first came on, viewers were so engrossed by the antics of Ed and Dexter (played by Kenan Thompson) that the skit continued for several more years before it finally got adapted into a movie in 1997.

The original movie was set in Glendora Avenue, West Covina, California. They filmed the fast food scenes inside a restaurant that later became Peter's El Loco.

West Covina's suburban setting amidst the San Gabriel Mountains served as a backdrop for the first Good Burger movie. You can find the other filming locations of Good Burger here.

As for the sequel, Good Burger 2 was filmed entirely on location in Rhode Island. The setting for the iconic Good Burger restaurant was an old Friendly's chain restaurant at Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. The facade of the establishment was recreated by CGI.

Since there were already plans to demolish the building to put up a car wash, the producers of Good Burger 2 did not have too many restrictions to worry about.

So let's get down to it: is Good Burger a real place where they serve actual burgers? The answer is a bit complicated. Let us explain.

When the skit first started, there wasn't a Good Burger restaurant. And for years, it would remain that way. Over the years, however, a pop-up for Good Burger launched.

Good Burger Pop-up launched a limited offering in July 2019.  The pop-up joint accepted reservations, which coincided with Nickelodeon's decision to reboot the hit comedy sketch show, All That.

The pop-up joint opened at 7100 W. Santa Monica Blvd., which was the same location where another themed pop-up was set, Saved by the Max.

Unfortunately, the pop-up only ran for a limited time. They have a website where they share some affiliate links and some listings for good burgers in the area.
