It's been a long wait but we're finally seeing the follow-up to the comedy-skit-turned-movie, Good Burger. Because of this, avid fans are wondering who will taking the role of Abe Vigoda in Good Burger 2.
Thankfully, a behind-the-scenes look at the film shows that the sequel will be paying tribute to the late actor. Here's what we know about his role.
Who is Abe Vigoda in Good Burger 2?
Good Burger started as a skit between Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. The two played employees of a fast food burger joint together with Abe Vigoda, who starred as Otis in the 90s.
The skit originally started in All That, which aired on Nickelodeon from 1994 to 2005. The characters of the skit were later adapted into a full-length movie, which was released in 1995.
One of the iconic characters from the skit is Abe Vigoda, who starred as Otis. He was in charge of working the deep fryers in the fast food joint.
Otis was a well-loved character in the skit and the movie. In the movie, he was wrongfully committed to Demented Hills along with two other employees.
Otis was most famous for his line: "Do you think you can get me to a hospital? I think I broke my ass."
Just before Vigoda turned 95, he peacefully died in his sleep. He was proclaimed dead at his daughter's home in New Jersey in January 2016 where he escaped from a hazardous blizzard.
Will Anyone Take Over His Role?
Since the sequel took 26 years to make, it is unfortunate that the role of Abe Vigoda in Good Burger 2 could not be reprised. And the most logical solution for that is to not have anyone take over the late actor's role.
Another character will likely be manning Otis' deep fryer, but he won't likely be called Otis.
In a behind-the-scenes video, both Kenan and Kel gave avid fans a look into the office of Good Burger. You'll find a bunch of Easter Eggs in the video, which include a Wall of Employees.
This wall included a bunch of photos of previous employees who worked in the restaurant. One of the highlighted photos is Otis (Vigoda). You'll also find a photo of Shar Jackson in the gallery. Jackson played Monique.

Aside from Good Burger, Vigoda starred in other films like The Godfather franchise, Look Who's Talking, and Barney Miller.
