Ironheart Star Plays Coy About Mephisto's Rumored Appearance

For the past several weeks, there have been rumors that Sacha Baron Cohen is joining the cast of Ironheart to play the MCU's Mephisto. While the casting hasn't been confirmed yet at this point, there is evidence that suggests that it is very likely to be true. A lot of fans have been eagerly waiting for the character to make his MCU debut ever since he was rumored to appear in WandaVision.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Ironheart star Dominique Thorne was asked about the rumors that Mephisto will show up in the series. However, as expected, she dodged the question by giving a very different response that addressed her excitement for the series instead.

"Oh man, the series is on its way. We just finished filming, actually, on November 2 and I think there's a lot for fans to sink their teeth into, especially if they enjoyed what they got to see of Riri Williams in a whole other world that was not her own. I think they might be in for a good time, stepping into a world that is her own," she said.

It is not surprising to see that Thorne dodged the question since we all know at this point that Marvel actors are being trained to avoid giving any spoiler-y answers whenever the press asks them questions about specific details of their projects. While the actress is new to the MCU, she seems to be an expert on it already.

While we didn't get a definitive answer on Mephisto's rumored MCU appearance, fans will continue to theorize and speculate about it for now. Unlike most rumors that are surfacing on the internet, this one has more validity since the major trades have also been reporting about Cohen's rumored casting in the series.

Besides Thorne, the confirmed cast members of the series include Anthony Ramos, Jim Rash, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Shakira Barrera, Harper Anthony, Shea Coulee, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola, Sonia Denis, Cree Summer, and Paul Calderon.
