One of the villains in the MCU that not a lot of people are talking about is Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3 played by Guy Pearce. Most of it is due to the fact that Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery (aka the fake Mandarin) overshadowed him and fans would remember this film as the one where they were misled regarding the identity of the Mandarin. However, there's no argument that Pearce was wonderful in the role and, with the MCU continuing to expand and is revisiting some of the characters in the past, will we ever see him return to the franchise again?
In an interview with Comicbook.com, Pearce was asked about the possibility of reprising the role of Aldrich Killian in the MCU to which he responded that he is open to doing it as he thinks that there is a way for them to revisit the character again.
"I'd be very much interested in to see him come back," Pearce said. "And I think because of the nature of the character that he is, it's totally conceivable that he could come back. So yes, I would love to see what he is up to, as well. Because he's somebody – obviously as we saw in Iron Man 3 – went through a sort of rapid vast change from the beginning of the story. So who knows where he's ended up."
While it is great to hear that Pearce is open to making his return to the MCU someday, his character died at the end of Iron Man 3 so there is no precise way for him to show up again unless it's through flashbacks or maybe the Extremis technology will have a way to resurrect him despite his explosive demise. There's also the multiverse aspect that could also make it possible. Either way, there is an excuse that they can do for him to return again although it requires a fantastical solution.
Right now, Marvel doesn't have any confirmed plans that they are bringing back Pearce's character in the MCU so it's hard to tell whether there will be an actual possibility that we will see him again soon. if he does end up showing up again, a lot of fans could welcome the idea as long as it serves the story very well.
