Iron Fist Was Canceled Before Season 3 Discussions Began

Iron Fist will go down in history as the second-biggest disappointment to come from Marvel Studios, the first of which is probably Inhumans. While the first season is considered by a lot of people to be poorly paced and badly written, the second season was an actual improvement with better action and some decent writing, though it wasn't enough to save it, unfortunately.

Since then, fans have wondered what a theoretical Iron Fist Season 3 would be like, with many hoping that these Netflix shows find life in Disney+ or Hulu. As we ponder on what could have been, Iron Fist showrunner M. Raven Metzner revealed that the show was canceled before they could even begin discussing season 3, which is really sad.

Metzner did reveal some interesting plans, hoping to do more with Danny Rand's chi and even have him use guns with it. We aren't kidding, read that tweet above and tell us that he didn't want Rand to use chi-powered guns. That would actually be interesting to see, though that does kind of betray the whole martial arts thing they've been doing.

Aside from Iron Fist, Netflix also canceled Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones, which was depressing for a lot of fans. Many saw this as Netflix not wanting to give Disney more of their spotlight since the company was planning their own streaming service, which we now know as Disney+, home to The Mandalorian.

Iron Fist Season 1 and Iron Fist Season 2 can currently be streamed on Netflix.
