Iron Fist Star Finn Jones Shares His Game Of Thrones Season 8 Finale Prediction

Everybody has their own prediction about how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end next year. Not surprisingly, Iron Fist actor Finn Jones has his own ideas on what will happen in the final season.

We all know that Jones caught the public eye when he played Loras Tyrell in the first six seasons of Game of Thrones. Although he is no longer part of the HBO show, the Marvel star clearly still had GOT on his mind. Jones and fellow Game of Thrones alum Jessica Henwick recently spoke to People, where he shared his thoughts on what could happen to the Iron Throne.

"I basically don't think there will be a throne anymore," Jones said. "I don't think there will be a centralized seat of power. I think power will be given back to the individual kingdoms, so more like a democratic rule."

It's an optimistic approach and Jones is well aware of that. "I think that might be a bit too utopian for Game of Thrones," he stated. "I think what will happen eventually is just, everyone will die."

That's more like an ending George R.R. Martin will be proud of. Although most theories suggest that there will be a new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, skeptics think that Westeros will ultimately be overrun by the White Walkers. Of course, it wouldn't be as entertaining for most people so I think we'll get a bittersweet conclusion later next year.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 air date has not yet been confirmed but the final season is expected to premiere in mid-2019. Meanwhile, Jones and Henwick will return in Iron Fist Season 2, which streams on Netflix starting September 7.
